"If DoCoMo is not expecting any profit till 2005, how will that make SKT feel..."

I think SK is playing a complex strategy - where appearances are perhaps deceptive.

NTT's projections may not matter to SK - in fact, technology may not matter at all.

I think money, politics and royalties are playing into SK's strategy - along with the speculation that:

*) for 3G, I think SK is hedging. If something's there, they'll be in the game. If there isn't, the GVT will let them switch - at the stroke of midnight.

*)They don't need the spectrum. And Europe's cry that "3G" spectrum is required to be 3G, is rendered silly with roaming. All smoke.

*) they get NTT's cash up front - so screw NTT if they blow it.

However, I wonder what goes through Japan Telecom's collective mind? Will they continue to follow NTT? Is that DDI's phone ringing??
