Democrats have always backed "the arts and sciences" because they spend the money building up these areas. More money has been spent to improve medical discovery under democrats than republicans. In the 60's and 70's the govt subsidizes medical student education......that's why tuitions were under 3K whereas today after 12 years of GOP control[ 1980-1992]....tuitions have skyrocketed to now over 30k!
