Unfortunately you've provided a great example of how difficult/impossible market timing is. Every year during these corrections, I think to myself how I should have sold at peaks and bought at discounts. It works well in our heads, much much more difficult in practice. Hopefully,others with similar inclincations will heed your words and avoid that same mistake.

The more I read and study the market, the more long term buy and hold makes sense.
