Crashes Are Infrequent But Not Mythical

Most crashes can be attributed to circumstances where a people believe one thing to be true, when in fact it is not.

I'm sure you can see how this would be the case. An example:

While a person might crash if they exit a plane while it is still in flight, the possibility becomes a certitude if a person exits a plane which they believe has landed, when it is in fact 15,000 feet in the air.

But what are you going to tell the 255 passengers that will convince them to leave the plane in mid air, once the captain has determined that there is only enough fuel to land if he load sheds the weight of those passengers, and you don't have any parachutes on board.

BTW - The Emperor has no clothes ...
