mr mark I've attacked my problem another way. Bought a new machine. Now my problem is file transfer. I just bought Partition Magic 6.0 that I'm told works with Win ME. How would you partition a 20gig hard drive. One of the partitions will be used for the contents of my old drive <5gig used. I am assuming that the best procedure would be to upgrade the old machine to ME and then copy all the contents. TIA -Don
