I suppose you were with one of the groups who said the same thing about Korea back about 1988. "they can;t make anything right, so why try". REALLY pissed them off and they did make it work. Samsung infra is as good as any out there. It pissed them off so bad that they went WAY out of their way to specifically exclude MOT and ERICY from Korea so that they would not have to deal wiht that "superior attitude". I suppose that you also think that the Chinese (tiawan) can't make semiconductors as well? guess again. Korea is going to show them how to make this stuff thru join ventures and make them sucessful. Look at the Xing JV with Hyundai. Good example. Qualcomm is also in there making sure that hansets mfgs do NOT fail at making handsets. The fact is that the GSM guys have been making it hard for the Chinese so that they can hold them captive and also guarantee that they can't produce phones to sell back into good ole Europe. Why they would spoil the market for all those nice government supported mfgs who make GSM now. How vile.
