here you are reid: From Wall Street Digest - 10/27

Economic growth for the third quarter (released today) was 2.7%. The market expected 3.7%, so the talking heads are discussing a hard landing and/or a recession. Most analysts correctly believe the Fed will cut rates at the November 15th meeting , if necessary to maintain continuous economic
growth.

New York Fed President William McDonough said inflation is virtually non- existent. With a slowing economy, a rate cut by the Fed can’t be far behind. Lower rates would also give Europe and Asia a badly needed boost.

I still expect a strong six month rally to begin the day after the new president is elected. A mountain of cash will pour into the stock market and push the market indices to new highs during 2001. The New Economy Internet/Technology stocks will lead the market.
