Can anyone help me? I have had a Dell Dimension L550r since last March and I have had trouble holding on to my internet connection ever since.
I have been on the phone with tech support on numerous occasions and the latest thing that they want me to do is a modem diagnostic test. I downloaded the utility and it says To use this diagnostic, the system must be booted to a clean DOS boot (Safe mode command prompt only).
I'm not sure how to do that. The few times that I have been in safe mode, I didn't want to be!
