...dark cloud over the intellectual property industry. --- Inanity. The 'intellectual property industry' is a construct *of the Government! Your MS used (and continues to use) Government to get where they are. In fact, I can't think of another unregulated company that uses 'Government' more than MS. --- When they (MS) talk about Govt involvment in their industry being a bad thing, they're completely talking out the other side of their anatomy. --- Never mind that they increase shareholder value by buying certain 'improvements' to US Code 17 (Copyrights), take a look at the action at the Uniform Commercial Code level. --- Consider that right now, MS is talking about suing a competitor (under UCITA) for publishing *benchmarks! --- The 'intellectual property industry' (like MS itself) has bigger problems, darker clouds than the application of antitrust law.
