elly,

These comments from a former Intel employee and Rambus shareholder, past or present, pretty much reflect mine.

Pauls reply...
The stories - whether biased or not - reflect reality.

Intel is committed to introducing the Pentium 4 with the i850/Tehama/Rambus chip set - but they are workingy feverishly to create new chip sets with SDRAM and DDR support for the Pentium 4 - as well as non-DRDRAM chip sets for the upcoming Tulaltin/Pentium III.

The Intel and Rambus divorce lawyers are working on an out-of-court "Divorce" settlement - but make no mistake - a divorce is in the works.

Intel has to choose their words carfeully - the dipstick Intel lawyers apparently committed Intel to a "no-crticize" clause - pertaining to TECHNICAL MERITS of DRDRAM - in the original Rambus agreements. Tom DumbLap at his usual best.

I wonder how much Intel will have to give up to divorce themselves from bride turned gorilla, Rambus?

Rambus could be really rich! LOL
