All, I normally don't post rumors but this one is very interesting...from JC's BB no less.. jc-news.com <<Caution, P4 Rumor Inside... Posted by doubleD on Saturday, 28 October 2000, at 6:34 a.m. Word has it (keep in mind that this is very preliminary information) that there MAY be a couple more issues with the P4 which may delay its launch. The public has been told that there was a problem with the P4 chipset not working with certain PCI graphics cards. There is now some talk of some systems (more than a few, less than alot) failing to POST. Reason unknown. There is also a nice story of one system nearly catching fire. This is third-hand information, but my source is reliable. So there is probably at least a kernel of truth in here>> --- Oh well, we'll see...Paul said Intel has NEVER given an official P4 release date. Only Q4...
