O ya there could be chaos. One respondent to the article pointed out what a denial of service attack would produce. But that's techy problems that in time may become mute.
I was intrigued by the thought that the net is one big mind and each access point a neuron. Sharing files seems innocuous if all you want in return is like kind.
Importing my neighbor .pdfs didn't accrue to me. I wish I knew the next craze. Maybe it'll start with simple recipes and branch to who knows where. Sharing like minded interests seems natural to me.
Renting or using unneeded cpu cycles could disappear behind service's offered or the appliances. 'ORCL?' Out of sight out of mind kind of thing. I getting too far out here, but p2p could be a some sort of spring board.
