Come on, TheLieseeker. Gum Tech acknowledged in more than one press release that their gum sales would decline until they began shipping nicotine gum, dental gum, or gum to other new customers. Sales of gum products were up in 1999 and only began falling in the last few quarters. The reason is because some of the products are mature, and in other cases, the distributors aren't putting any effort into marketing them. If you think Swedish Match or a "major consumer product company" would release a product without a plan for marketing and to be successful, then you should hold your short position for a really long time and lose your a$$.

Sales of Zicam have grown quarter to quarter every comparable period since inception. Given that, and the fact that retailers bought a lot of product in Q4 99 and Q1 00, and we had a mild winter last year that negatively affected the entire cough and cold sector, I'd say sales are fine. Based on reports from buyers of major chains, sales in October are well ahead of the same period last year. If you have some contacts, you might want to ask them. After all, you are the Truthseeker. Or are you just a pump and dump short tout that doesn't know a damn thing about this company?
