You are mistaken that I have assumed that the child was killed by Israelis. When the child was killed, I waited to see who said what. The Arabs are claiming the shooting was done by Israelis. I have not seen an Israeli denial. That is why I say it is unrefuted.

I do condemn Israel for what is going on now. I think it's clear that Sharon did not want the peace treaty to be enacted, and deliberately provoked an angry reaction, based on the timing of his visit to the Temple Mount. It is true that the reaction of the Palestinians is incomprehensible to us, but I think it's undeniable that Sharon knew that they would react as they did. The idea of a Palestinian state is unacceptable to the hard line Israelis.

I also think that the Israelis had no right to take the land from the Palestinians to begin with. So I've thought they were wrong all along.
