You know MSFT could take a VERY important step and go completely public with not only the extent of the unauthorized access into their intranet but also with what went wrong and how they fixed it. Right now it looks as if they are merely trying to "sweep it under the rug"...

The problem with security issues is that the "hackers" all work together - sharing tips & tricks openly via the internet. Meanwhile, more and more companies hide any "hacking" incidents - never reporting them for fear of bad publicity.

Also, another thought - with the prolifernace of Microsoft products throughout the world, do you think any entity could "force" MSFT to reveal which product(s) source code was "stolen"?
