Gottfried,

Looking at evaluations in March, the stock prices for semi-equips, and many other stocks, were on the high side. Some corrections were probably inevitable, but now we are swinging wildly to the downside. The prices can't seem to find a happy medium. It always seems to be "boom or bust". Some minor declines in bookings for at this time of year may be reasonable. Capital expenditures are budgeted on an annual basis at most companies - usually for a five year period going forward - but once budgeted, the expense may not be spent equally throughout the year.

The economic climate is also important. I already have heard some analysts say they think the Fed has overdone it with interest rates hikes - now they postulate that rates cuts may be coming in the near future - a lot of scenarios can be drawn.
