Richard Secord Elected as Replacement
LAYTON, Utah, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Computerized Thermal Imaging Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: COII - news) announces the retirement of David B. Johnston as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. In accepting his retirement, the Board of Directors moved quickly to fill the vacancy by electing Richard V. Secord as Chairman of the Board and appointed him to be the new CEO. Secord, a retired USAF Major General, has worked in various CTI executive capacities since 1995. A brief biography can be found on the CTI web site -- www.cti-net.com.

Mr. Johnston has been Chairman and CEO since the company was founded. ``I have been at this for 13 years, dedicating virtually every waking moment to building CTI'', said Mr. Johnston. ``Now that CTI has achieved some measure of success, I believe Gen. Secord is in a good position to lead the CTI team. It is now time for me to move on to other matters long placed on hold.''

Gen. Secord stated further, ``I am pleased that the Board has shown its confidence in my ability to lead this great and growing company. As most of our investors know we already have an excellent management team in place under our President/COO David Packer. Dave and I have worked well together in the past and will continue to do so. We are all sorry to see David Johnston leave the company which he founded. But I pledge to continue vigorously his drive to execute the business plan aimed at FDA Pre-market Approval (PMA) for our breast cancer imaging system. We are also moving forward exploiting CTI technology in occupational medicine, which includes workers compensation and sports medicine, and a separate track involving industrial applications of this technology.''
