CTI Selects Executive Vice President

With Significant Medical Imaging Experience
LAYTON, Utah, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Computerized Thermal Imaging Inc. (CTI) (OTC Bulletin Board: COII - news) announced today the appointment of John M. Brenna as an Executive Vice President. Mr. Brenna brings over 15 years of experience in medical imaging and similar experience in advanced telecommunications. Mr. Brenna will assume responsibilities for the strategic and global commercialization of CTI's thermal imaging products, including the Company's Breast Cancer Imaging System currently undergoing the Food and Drug Administration's regulatory approval process. The CTI Breast Cancer Imaging System has been designed to recognize and differentiate temperature patterns of malignant and benign breast tumors through a painless, non-invasive technology requiring no patient exposure to radiation, breast compression, or electrical current.

During 1996-1999, Mr. Brenna was Executive Vice President, Marketing of Trex Medical, a Thermo-Electron company. He was also President and Chief Operating Officer of the LORAD division of Trex Medical, which specializes in advanced Breast Imaging and Stereotactic Biopsy systems. Under his leadership, LORAD achieved and maintained the #1 market share position. His background also includes director-level marketing responsibilities at Philips Medical Systems, general management and corporate marketing positions at AT&T and, most recently, as a medical imaging consultant for a new business operation.

Mr. Brenna brings a strong background in global and general operations management, domestic and international capital goods marketing and strategic alliance development, including Direct, Dealer and OEM marketing distribution systems. In 1997, while Mr. Brenna was an officer at Trex Medical, Deloitte + Touche recognized the company as one of the Fast 500 Technology Growth Companies. Subsequently, in 1998, Medical Imaging Journal recognized Trex as one of the Top Twenty Medical Equipment Manufacturers.
