Jack,

I don't agree with your inference here. I use an obvious screen name and no e-mail address by choice. And I don't see that it has anything to do with trust. Here's why...

Not using one's real name can cut both ways. It allows the dishonest to exaggerate their dishonesty. But the reverse is also applicable, in that the honest, by not using their real names, can exaggerate their honesty without fear of repercussions. So I don't see that you can necessarily conclude anything from the use, or nonuse, of a screen name.<<

Ice -

Jack's post was made regarding "Mr. Iomega." Mr. Iomega has made a whole lot of very postive statements regarding the happy outcomes to every possible problem or competitive situation Iomega may face. He made the statements as if they were facts and he had inside information.

He has offered absolutely nothing to back up his claims and has provided no evidence to support his own credibility. I believe Jack is right to suggest that we take these kinds of posts with a grain of Bre-X gold.

Mr. Iomega could be Kim Edwards himself. Or he could be Herb Greenberg. We don't know. And since we don't know, we don't have any reason whatsoever to place any faith in his rosy pronouncements.

My advice would be to believe only that which can be independently verified by sources with valid credentials.
