Going over old charts and comparing them with news release dates confirms this imho, even in more bullish metals markets like those of five years ago ... to make it more graphic, print out the charts and then pencil in notes on the releases with arrows to the date ... barring takeouts, i can't think of a case where the stock didn't sell off somewhat after clearly demonstrating that the company had indeed developed mine potential.

Hard to say, though, when the takeout comes ... and the cheaper the stock gets, the easier it is for the acquiror to make an offer look relatively attractive ... recent example being wsp in June, they clearly had a mine but the sexiness was gone from the thing once the blue sky gained some definition ... people dumped it in revolt against dilution ... me included, duh ... i don't hold any bay at this point, looking for a re-entry soon ... now that 2.00 and 1.80 S/R has broken, i'm wondering on the ~1.30 support of a year ago - stockcharts.com

[edit] - which is where i re-entered that time - Message 11563970
.. i did in fact sell a little too early, but not way too early, and for reasons unrelated to company prospects ... as it happened
