Carl, I am not familiar with Jazio, can you tell us more about it and who is adopting their approach? TIA.
As far as SDRAM, DDR and RDRAM, if the industry does not use RMBS' IP to make them and use them, than of course RMBS is "dead, dead, dead", but I see that you post quite a lot of URL relating to upcoming DDR mother boards, INTC is still planning to launch the RDRAM compatible P4. As for whether or not DDR and some important elements of SDRAM were invented by RMBS or someone else, I really do not have the answer, the patents say "Yes", may be the PTO is full of it, my experience with the PTO is that their examiners are quite smart. They have specialists in each sector, and those guys are always in the process of examining a large number of patents in the same field as the one before them at any gien point in time. As a result, they have a much better view of the technology scene than I have, maybe even a better view than RMBS' engineers, since they see before RMBS' engineers see these, what others in the field are trying to do to improve the various chips performances. It is my guess that they understand the field even better than you do, since you have access only to "past innovations", they are the only one with a broad overview of all current innovations in each specific field assigned to them for examination. I have had few "runs" with examiners and learned to "win" with them only when I put myself in their shoes. Those guys are very smart cookies, and rarely let a patent by that should not have been allowed.
