Siemens builds UMTS-network on the Isle of Man spiegel.de (in German) Main points: * network will be built until end of spring 2001 * data rates between 128 and 200 kb, in some edge regions only 64 kb * handsets will be produced by NEC * adherence to time schedule hinges on NEC´s ability to produce the handsets * FDD (Frequency Division Duplex)and TDD (Time Division Duplex)will be used. TDD is for busy places like airport lounges.
