Frank, if I may be so bold, I think you have missed the core of why Bush does well in the polls. It is not because of his great integrity, intelligence or honor. It is also not because people think Bush will lead this country to a state of nirvana where Democrats and Republicans sing songs and hold hands around a campfire. It is not because Bush has a vision that people believe in. Why is it, then? It's for the simple reason that most people vote based on charisma and Bush has 5 times as much charisma as Gore. If people did follow the issues and elected the best man for the job, neither Bush nor Gore would even be in contention for the job. However, between the two, it would take a fool to have studied the candidates and the issued and still support Bush.
