LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2000--Preference Technologies(TM) Inc. (OTCBB:PFER) today announced that it has appointed Robert Forbuss chief executive officer effective immediately.
Michael Calderone, founder and CEO of Preference since February 1999, resigned his position as CEO and has been appointed to vice chairman of the board of directors. Forbuss will remain on the company's board of directors.
"I am privileged to have the opportunity to help move Preference forward," said Forbuss. "I only hope to honor the vision Mr. Calderone has set forth and help make Preference not only a technology leader in Nevada but also in the world of Internet computing."

About Robert "Bob" Forbuss

Bob Forbuss is the founder and former owner/CEO of Mercy Medical Services, a business he grew to more than $60 million in annual revenue operating in California, Texas, Washington and Nevada. In early 1994, he sold Mercy to Laidlaw Inc. Mercy was the base of the company's $1.3 billion in revenue. Forbuss served as senior vice president and helped facilitate the rollup of 150 separate companies over a three-year period.
Forbuss also has served as CEO for both Medical Transportation of America and American Medical Response, Southwest Division. In addition to his many business achievements, he has been an educator; director of the Clark County Public Education Foundation; vice chairman, Las Vegas Sister Cities Association; director and past president, Boys and Girls Clubs; and an elected trustee for the Clark County School District.
Forbuss is a native Nevadan intimately involved in business, government and community affairs. As the elected chairman of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, he oversees the fourth largest Chamber in the United States. In 1999, Forbuss was appointed to serve as a board member for the Las Vegas Housing Authority and is concurrently serving a two-year term as secretary/treasurer on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors.
