Actually, I think that's a good idea. If Iomega can make a 15mm Zip, then they could easily produce a combo Zip/Floppy drive. I'm sure they have already thought of it. Of course, if they are trying to REPLACE the floppy, then it might be construed to be an odd move, strategically.

The best thing would be to have some third party license the Zip technology and come out with the combo drive on their own. That way, Iomega would not be seen as retreating from their stated goals viz a viz the floppy.

But I still think there's plenty of room for both a Zip and a floppy in most computers. (And the internal cabling is a lot easier to deal with that way!)
