The drawback is if at any time during that process, the underlying goes up enough to get you called out, you may be forced to exercise your leap with enough of its premium value still intact to cause you a loss. In which case you may spend the rest of your life watching elderly cleaning ladies mopping the hall floor outside your room in a fairly depressing rest home.
