If you're going to try to compare things mathematically, the first rule is to compare apples with apples. The second thing is to ignore opinions of poverty stricken journalists and do your own basic research. EDGAR and SEDAR can be worth their weight in gold here.

Actually their growth rates tend to be much higher especially for those focused on wireless and fiber optics. These areas are becoming ubiquitous coming from a minimal deployment.

The carriers are only growing at 12 percent

Now you're talking about a hell of an awful lot more than just fiber optics and wireless; and a much larger base as a starting point. 12% of a very big number is usually much much more than 40% of a much smaller number.

Perhaps it's just the mathematically challenged morons that write this shit.
