Please present to us, X, in academic detail and with appropriate bibliographical references, about how Bush's proposed policies are likely to upset "NATO's role as an important fixture in the balance of power in Europe," and "destablize NATO," resulting in "horrible consequences," and undermine the "stability of Europe."
Please include any necessary references and rebuttals to the positions held by Gen's. Powell and Schwarzkopf (sp?), Professor Rice, Secretary Cheney, Sen. McCain, and other Bush supporters.

As to the internal combustion engine and pollution, you sound like a typical liberal who is ignorant and unappreciative of the intense efforts that have been successfully implemented over the past 30+ years in this area, and the ongoing R&D (Research and Development) to make things even better. We all live on planet earth, and apparently unlike you, I think Detroit's engineers are working to make things even better. What are you doing for the cause? I hope that at a minimum, you don't drive a car, you ride a bicycle, you cook your food with a magnifying glass under sunlight, and you heat your home with geothermal energy. By the way, turn off that darned computer. You're destroying the environment!
