I guess O'Neil doesn't address stocks with a 250 PE as one of the CANSLIM criteria. At this time there are probably no CANSLIM stocks as the M is probably still considered negative. I don't know enough about JNIC as to it being a leader or not, but it must have something going for it.

I'm also not a CANSLIM purist as I came up with my own similar rating system long before I ever heard of CANSLIM. However, of the 108 stocks in my database, probably 90% or more have a PE less than their sector with an overall average PE of 17 vs 10.5 for the DOW and 33 for the S&P 500.
Again, if the stock has value for you, then go for it, I just tend to be more conservative when it comes to stock with high PE. I can find enough growth stocks with PE's less than sector average to fill my bill. lol

Now we need to see the firming of a bottom so we all can make some money again.
