I can't figure out which way the market will go today.
I may sell some CIEN and JNPR and get myself back to 50% invested.

Experiment for the day:

If I was going to be in my office for most of the day, I would probably do some daytrading.
Possible short: NOK
Possible buy: QCOM
If market goes up, QCOM is likely to climb higher than NOK.
If market is down, NOK is likely to fall lower than QCOM.

This is just based upon my halfass TA.

I stumbled upon these charts this morning and figured it could a nice play if I bought Nov. ATM puts on NOK and ATM calls on QCOM. This is simply based upon technical indicators.

QCOM Nov75 Calls are at 6 1/4 Ask.
NOK Nov40 Puts are at 2 13/16 Ask.
As a silly experiment I want to see is playing this spread in options form, is more profitable that playing it in common stock form.
This morning's pre-open common stock prices are listed as:
QCOM 74 1/4 Ask
NOK 39 3/4 Ask

I'll check back here after the close to see how this paper trade worked...

P.S. For the purpose of observing the differences with time decay I'm putting up the December calls which should not react as severely...
QCOM Dec 75 Calls are at 9 1/2
NOK Dec 40 Puts are at 4
