Hi John Walliker; Actually, maybe it wasn't intersymbol interference.

Camino was cut from 3 RIMMs to 2 because there were problems with the chipset markings. It wasn't an electrical problem at all. Some guy at the Intel fabrication plant couldn't get a "3" to print in the 5th position of the die identification code. As soon as Intel gets their stamping machine fixed, parts will go out marked "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8", and "9". That means the motherboard makers will be making boards with as many as 9 RIMM slots.

Simple problem, simple fix. It wasn't intersymbol interference at all. My mistake. We'll be seeing those 9 slot RIMM cards any day now.
