Peter I disagree with you on one point. CUBE and MPEG are not competitors. While CUBE has an encoding solution, it is not in authoring systems. I believe that William's posts proved that point. I have not seen any major annoucements by any company on the sale of authoring systems. Until they do MPEG has an open market. The only company that I have seen with an encoding/authoring solution that was demonstrated is Panasonic/Matshusita at the November 96 Comdex. Many people were complaining about poor quality. The encoding box was about the size of a two drawer file cabinet.
