Promote the "dumb" theme as much as you want, but Bush never flunked out of a college as Gore did and you don't get to be a jet fighter pilot by being a dummy. jet fighter pilot? What are you talking about? Does the Texas National Guard have an air force? There's a distinction to be made between social intelligence, charm, and political skills, which Bush clearly has, and being well informed, intellectually curious, and interested in government. He has given no signs of the latter. My worry is not that he's dumb, but that he is ignorant of many things that a President needs to know. Such as the main forces reshaping the rest of the world.
