Everything semi related has taken a bath, no mater how good earnings have been and no matter how the company is valued relative to earnings. There seems to be a sense that the great earnings will not continue because some of it has been driven by ASP increases which many believe will not last. When ASPs again begin to decline, there is a belief that the rosy earnings of many companies will head south with them. There is also a belief that most semi companies have already seen peak growth and that growth will slow from what is as been over the past year.

MCRL is not alone in getting creamed on good earnings. Take a look at SILI -- its earnings growth has also been spectacular and it has annualized earnings of just under $4.00 a share. However, it is off its high of $165 down to around $35, which is just as ridiculous as MCRL selling off by 50%. This is not complete apples-to-apples, but you get the idea. There are lots of other examples.

MCRL's sell-off has very little to do with MCRL and a lot to do with overall market sentiment about anything semi-related.
