Sigh. I'm not even sure that those who have been assassinated were honest; are you? The last time I became emotionally involved in U.S. presidential politics was during the Watergate investigation that culminated in Nixon's resignation.

Since then, I've had a detached perspective. Probably from a sense of helpless resignation, more than anything else. I have no influence on such matters <g> ... therefore, I think it's a waste of energy to get all bent out of shape over it.

In hindsight, the only president in my lifetime to date that I had/have respected is Jimmy Carter. His post-presidential involvement with Habitat for Humanity, to me, illustrates integrity in the man.
