From 1975 through 1982, the buying opportunities were much, much better.

And in technology, the mid 80's provided a much better opportunity.

And for one wonderful day, 1987 also provided a jewel of a buying opportunity.

All those were much, much better opportunities.

Even if you are the most optimistic person on CSCO, it is still trading about 1x its growth rate. In all of the above situations, you could easily find a lot of high quality companies trading at one fourth their growth rate.
