Why the combo? For those who want it, they can still install a 1.44FD
and an internal Zip in the same computer for significantly less cost
than the LS-120. The PC makers will gladly sell any configurations the
consumers want. Better yet, get an external Zip for portability.

I think IOMG is dead right about the 1.44FD being obsolete. The OEMs
also know it. And from the huge demands for the Zip, PC users spoke out
loudly that they need something better than the 1.44FD. Remember, before
IOMG designed the Zip, they did extensive market researches and came
to the conclusion that the 1.44FD is ALREADY obsolete. That 's why
they didn't bother with backward compatibility. And I am quite sure that
they are right.
