Tom: I shall remain a Doubting Thomas until we hear the secret phrase, "sweet cup of tea", from our esteemed Argutan. Brinker has previously alluded to a thread he follows on AOL, thus, the matter of broker bashing could have been raised there, in his snail mail, or elsewhere. In addition, with all due respect to the clever writers on this thread, it doesn't take a Mark Twain to semantically rework "Hail-Bobb" from "Hale-Bopp". That last could easily be an "inside joke" developed amongst his family or friends.
Alas, this mystery shall yet consume us as our good friend, Bill Flanagan from Forbes Magazine, is substituting for Brinker this weekend. Thus far, he has been very entertaining and informative. (Does Flanagan read this thread?)
Meanwhile, Flanagan has been on a rampage, thus far, bashing brokers and financial planners, alike, with savage abandon.
