Frankly, I don't want to concede anything to the socialist group.

Republicans have already conceded the agenda to the Democrats on the important issues of taxes, Social Security and prescription drug benefit. There will be no tax cut because the leadership in the House will be even smaller than the present 6 votes. Right now, Clinton is getting most of what he wants from the House Republicans. There will be no change in Social Security because there is no mandate for change. Bush will reneg on his promise to push for a prescription drug benefit and that will cost the Republicans a lot of votes. The economy will not be able to match the performance of the past 8 years. Look at the market right now. The new administration will suffer by comparison.
