I wouldn't be so sure about the highfliers, NTAP, JNPR, SCMR, EXTR etc., being the first to head back up. After all they're not selling off due to general market weakness but because of valuation concerns. Therefore I doubt that most of those stocks will see new highs anytime soon. There's also a lot of technical damage and major tops have been put in.

The tech selling today was pretty much concentrated in that group and a lot of lower multiple tech actually finished up on the day. E.g. the SOX closed up 2.5% today.
