Lexar says SanDisk had an unwritten obligation to reveal the patent, which was filed in 1993, to the CFA and PCMCIA when it was a member, because they covered the industry standard under development.

With good attorneys, you wouldn't think it would take much to convince a jury that everyone's IP is patented.

BTW, I didn't realize this is a jury trial. With SF as the territory from which jurors will be drawn, I would think that the jury will be sensitive to the fact that companies' IP has to be protected by patents.

Further, we are not going to be waiting months for a judge to announce his ruling. We should get one quickly.

Jay

[EDIT] Are there any folks who live in the SF area that will have time to drop by the courthouse and see how the trial is going?
