in fact it's a good reason to be suspicious.

Actually, I could care less if GW ever did cocaine...

It just doesn't matter to me... since what he was and who is presents himself to be now are completely different persons.

Contrary to popular belief, conservatives can forgive the indiscretions of others so long as they are truly repentant about what wrongs they may have done.

There is NO hypocrisy in this.

What got Clinton in trouble is that he tried to lie his way out of the Monica scandal rather than just fessing up and asking for people to forgive him....

Instead, he denied, distorted, and evaded the truth, perjuring himself in court, lying to the American people on television, getting his wife to politicize it by attacking the alleged "right wing conspiracy", ALL IN THE NAME OF SAVING FACE. That it, until a blue dress destroyed his "plausible deniability".

It would have been so easy to forgive him, had he truly just shown a bit more humility, rather than thinking this was just "one more lie he thought he could get away with"/

But no.. even to this day he thinks it is everyone's fault but his own. He doen't even acknowlege that he was impeached for lying under oath, not for sexual misconduct.

So whatever may come out about Bush in the future, I think he will just fess up and ask for forgiveness.

And the American people will give it to him.
