Monty - You are out of line!

Didn't you know this is the Ed Forrest you're insulting? Anyone with a divergent opinion from such a wise and educated sage shouldn't be allowed to post here.

Furthermore, it is a little known fact, but prudent investing isn't about ferreting out substantive information on a company. It's about writing well spelled prose. One needs a dictionary to invest in great companies. The dictionary is so important that one must pull it out frequently and quote from it too. And our Ed leads by example.

This is a thread from which those who don't have the guts to toe the line must be driven. They must be branded morons and cudgeled smugly with what wouldn't pass for wit on the playground. And Ed is the keeper of the brand, the leader of the pack.

This is a thread where any bad news must be ignored or discredited. This is a thread where any shred of good news must be repeated ad-nauseum. This is the thread which keeps alive the flame that the last 5 years are a portent to the future. Where the 5 year chart must be posted frequently. And, leading by example is our man Ed.

Ed is the keeper of the rules. In fact, he seems to be the only one with a head sharpened to a sufficient point. Who else would not be distracted from the purity of the prose when fortunes hang in the balance based on the message? The rest of us aren't up for the task.

Don't take my word for it. His posts speak volumes about his character. Just review his last 100 posts.

Even if you gloss over his sage contribution of well researched corporate facts, can't you see the tremendous value he has contributed with his keen insight on people? You'll even see where he's managed to discern the mental state of posters by their thread names!!!

This guy's a hero. He is single handedly spreading the fertilizer necessary to grow the value of this stock.

I am even inclined to create a thread in his honor. Maybe call it the "Ed Forrest" thread. A place where he can post all he wants. Where he could reproduce the entire dictionary, one word at a time. Where he can post the 5 year chart of CSCO every 5 minutes. A place where he can post in his glory so that the entire SI community can revel in his brilliance.

A place in the sun he so richly deserves.

My only regret is that I am not poorer these days for having listened to him earlier. How sad it is for me and other morons. Sad that we strayed from the path and prostituted ourselves for profits. Instead of the great and mighty CSCO at 70, I purchased other equities despite his urgings otherwise. Instead of the enlightenment of giving, I have reaped the sin of profits. And having lost such tremendous opportunity for giving I am ashamed.

Against such a prince of enlightenment, you can not hope to compare.

So I will not stand silently by while you insult him.
