Like I told someone today - The sad part is there are a lot of people out there that have cash and will not put it to work until stocks have risen 50%.

For some reason, I don't think those people are here on the porch...
Seems like a lot of us have been fully invested since the 2nd time the Naz came off the bottom the other week. Perhaps most have been tapped out even earlier than that.

I agree it would be nice to be able to buy in here.
The hardest part is being able to keep enough reserves until we find the bottom.

I'm not sure that is a lesson we have learned, yet.
Poor Keith would sure be a lot happier if he could figure out that one.
I'm guessing he buys when you buy.
What he/we doesn't realize is that you are not spending your last dime, when you say "We should be buying in here."

You and RR always seem to have a nice portion of your funds in cash.

I think this is something that most of us do not realize.
Perhaps it is a major reason for some of the confusion around here.
Our old Porch thread consists of whiners who never realized this.
I'm assuming those who are whining here, may be experiencing the same problem.

The trick of this whole mind game appears to be the ability to always have some money on the side, regardless of how low the market goes.

I think we should discuss this topic more as the market heads back up.
