Mike, in my opinion, the reduction in new lows may indicate that a bounce in the Naz is "close at hand", but I do not think it indicates that the bear has lost its grip. I still remember how amazed I was at the August 1982 bottom, when the NYSE went for a string of at least 5 trading days without a single new high, now, that was a bottom (g).
