Ron, Were you aware every Liberal (on this thread & in the media) which talks about the lack of Hate Crimes laws in Texas is a LIAR? Did you know that there is a Hate Crimes Law on the Books in the State of Texas> It didn't stop the murder of Mr. James Byrd. I was working in Texas when that happened, the local D.A. is the party which decided not to press the Hate Crimes law because he wanted to assure the racists were not given an "easy out" & hit with only the 20 years possible under the current(poor) Hate Crimes law. He went for (& got) the death bed for 2 of the 3 with the 3rd giving up the other two under a "life with no parole" bargain. see key quote: "Senator Ellis is the author of Texas' current hate crimes statute. Since its passage in 1993" senate.state.tx.us Note, there is NO New Hate Crimes Bill currently pending the action of the Governor!
