AMD is working with Transmeta to develop versions of its Athlon and Duron processors that consume only three watts of power and hope to reach just one watt of power consumption, the paper said, citing unnamed AMD executives briefing Taiwanese notebook makers.

AMD yesterday introduced a 1.2-megahertz version of its Athlon processor and plans to introduce a 1.5-megahertz
version of its Thunderbird processor in the first quarter next year, as part of a plan to take 30 percent of the
notebook computer market in 2001, the report said.

This is BIG STUFF..Does anyone have more information?

TIA

FWIW: Back in @20+ I think AMD deserves at least a double multiple than currently awarded by the market (PE@8!!?)
