BankZIP.com Chooses SEDONA CRM Solution to Support Web-based Marketing for Community Banks

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2000--

Online Alliance of Community Banks to Use SEDONA's Intarsia Solution

For Improved Customer Relationship Management; SEDONA Banking Clients to Gain Access to Online Banking Services

SEDONA(R) Corporation (NASDAQ: SDNA) (www.SEDONAcorp.com) has announced that BankZIP.com, a national alliance of community banks, has selected SEDONA's Intarsia(TM) 2.0 Internet-based customer relationship management (CRM) solution to expand its online marketing and Internet banking offerings.

BankZIP.com, whose mission is to provide community banks with the products and services they need to conduct business online, will license SEDONA's Intarsia application service provider (ASP) solution, providing a Web-based CRM application to its customers. In addition, BankZIP.com will also provide SEDONA's banking clients with the systems and technology they need to develop and promote online bbnking services for individual customers.

"With Intarsia, we will now be able to offer a comprehensive CRM solution to community banks around the country as an application service, which gives smaller companies the option of outsourcing a CRM solution via the Web at a low, monthly operational expense without having to purchase additional hardware or software or hire additional personnel to implement or maintain a new system," said Rick Elko, president, BankZIP.com. "SEDONA's technology will enable our internal marketers to analyze our clients' marketing needs, make recommendations and implement strategies to both expand their relationships with existing customers and develop new customers."

BankZIP.com is an organization that provides Internet banking and consulting services for small-to-mid-sized banks, which enables them to develop an online presence. By banding together through BankZIP.com, community banks gain access to the same large-scale software solutions as bigger banks, but without the large capital outlays.

"BankZIP.com is establishing a positive track record of launching and supporting Internet banking services for community banks," Marco Emrich, president and CEO, SEDONA. "This is another service that our clients are seeking in the growing world of the Web."

Intarsia V2.0, announced in July 2000, is an Internet CRM application for small-to-mid-sized financial service companies. Intarsia users are able to enhance their internal customer and/or prospect data from back office systems with "live" user demographics, behaviors, interests and preferences information provided by third-party content management suppliers. This enhanced data is then visually filtered and analyzed to provide timely and precise "information-on-demand" or "Smart Content" to all of Intarsia's CRM front-office components, such as lead tracking and management, profitability management, promotion management, segment management and report publisher.

For more information on Intarsia, please call 800-815-3307 or send an email to sales@sedonacorp.com or visit the SEDONA Web site at www.SEDONAcorp.com.
