Tito, my understanding of the IRA rules (both Conventional and Roth) was that you couldn't buy derivatives such as options. The only option transaction allowed in an IRA is sale (and subsequent repurchase) of covered calls. Is there some exception that I can cite for buying LEAPS in an IRA?

(This isn't a "gotcha" question ... I'd like to do it if it's allowed.)
