This year has certainly been a learning experience for those of us on this board who thought we could do no wrong

yeah, well, we still have a pretty durn good collective record, and if we can keep our wits together we should come out the other side in decent shape.

Now who knew that NTAP and SEBL would do great during the year, and ITWO and a couple of others, but that so many of our other faves would tank? There would seem to be about as many smart people who are CREE maniacs as there are NTAP and SEBL fans, for example, and given the relative sizes of the companies there would seem to be lots of room to grow, and yet the stock is >50% off its highs rather than making new ones. And JDSU off about the same? GMST a bit less, QCOM substantially more? go figure.

Anyway, a moderate-sized group of first-rate forward-looking G&Ks, held for a long time, with minimal screwing around on the side via options, margin, and pebbles, nourished by reasonably ambitious but not insanely exuberant expectations--that's what I've settled on.
